The Day Skipper theory course introduces the aspiring skipper to the wide range of subjects required to take a cruising yacht to sea.
Students are taught the basics of coastal navigation and pilotage on the Day Skipper theory course, covering chart work, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, weather forecasting, a knowledge of tides and the International Regulation for Preventing of Collision at Sea.
Besides the traditional navigation techniques this course also includes an introduction to electronic navigation using the electronic chart plotter program.
This Day Skipper theory course is conducted online with all additional course materials, excercises, study pack and charts sent to your home.
The cost of postage within mainland Europe is included in the cost of the course.
