Course Schedule & Requirements

Mid-Week & Weekend Courses

• Mid-Week: Monday 10:00 AM – Friday 5:30 PM

• Weekend: Saturday 10:00 AM – Sunday 5:30 PM


Student-to-Instructor Ratio

• Maximum 5:1 for all practical courses and sail training


Prior Experience


To successfully complete the course, you must meet RYA requirements.

For example, the Day Skipper Practical Course requires:

• RYA Competent Crew level

• 5 days at sea

• 100 nautical miles covered

• 4 hours of night sailing


Ensure you meet the prerequisites or contact us for clarification.

Accommodation & Catering

Accommodation

• Three double cabins (sharing may be required)

• Solo female students only share with another female student

• Fresh sheets, pillows, and pillowcases provided

• Bring your own sleeping bag and towel


Catering

• All meals, snacks, and drinks included in the course fee

• The instructor and crew share meal preparation duties

Marina Fees

• Mooring fees, harbour expenses, diesel, and gas are all included

Packing List & Essentials

For Colder Weather

• Waterproof jacket, fleece top, hat, scarf, thick socks

• Thermal long johns and vest

• Non-jean trousers (jeans take too long to dry)

• Layered clothing (t-shirts, shirts, fleece)

• Sailing boots, deck shoes, or non-marking trainers

• Cheap slippers for public showers


For Warmer Weather

• Sunhat, sunglasses, sun cream, insect repellent

• Shorts, t-shirts, swimwear


Other Essentials

• Personal medications (especially for seasickness)

• Valid ID or passport

• Sleeping bag, towel, and toiletries

• Phone charger

• Soft holdall (limited onboard storage)

• RYA Syllabus & Logbook (G158) is required
