The Advanced Sailor/ Master of Yachts Offshore Theory course is an advanced course for those wishing to skipper a yacht on longer coastal passages’.

It is an intensive course covering advanced navigation techniques, tidal knowledge and use of almanacs and publications .

The International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea are dealt with in detail.

At the end of the course students will have to pass two exams to be awarded the Advanced Sailor/Yachtmaster Shorebased Certificate.

This course is conducted in our classroom at Medemblik and includes all course materials, morning and afternoon tea/coffee and lunch.
