The Yacht Skipper theory course introduces the aspiring skipper to the wide range of subjects required to take a cruising yacht to sea.
Students are taught the basics of coastal navigation and pilotage on the Yacht Skipper theory course, covering chart work, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, weather forecasting, a knowledge of tides and the International Regulation for Preventing of Collision at Sea.
Besides the traditional navigation techniques this course also includes an introduction to electronic navigation using the electronic chart plotter program.
This Yacht Skipper theory course is conducted in our classroom in Medemblik and includes all course materials, morning and afternoon coffee/tea and lunch.
